Atkins CIWEM Environmental Photographer of the Year Exhibition 2015

Earlier this year I had some really good news, one of my images had been selected for the Atkins CIWEM Environmental Photographer of the Year Exhibition 2015! 10,000 images were submitted and 110 were picked for the Exhibition and the book.

The image I took was of a young female macaque monkey which had been stolen from her mother from a small island in Vietnam and sold at a local market. It was purchased by two brothers who owed a guesthouse in Nra Trand and then chanied by its neck to a tire in a small court yard.

Hopefully this image and the other images in the exhibition can bring awareness to cure acts like this.
